Garlic & Cheese biscuits - NOT IN THE CROCK!
Need something wonderful to go with soup? Roll up your sleeves and make some fabulous, super easy and very tasty garlic & cheese biscuits! So easy you'll feel like a domestic goddess!
2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of baking powder
As much garlic powder as you can stand
5 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 cup of milk (any kind, dairy or non)
1-2 cups of cheese
Mix flour, salt, immense amounts of garlic powder and baking powder together in a medium bowl.
Use a knife to slice off tiny slices of butter and drop it into the flour mixture until all butter is used. Mix it up with your hands until it resembles a crummy mixture.
Add the milk and cheese and stir until just combined. It should look messy and floury and not quite mixed enough.
Use parchment paper, or grease a baking sheet. Divide dough into about 10 pieces and drop lazily onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the tops are slightly browned. Let set for about 5 mins before serving.
